Just another day

Hi all, Nothing much on the home front this morning. Yesterday was fantastic simply because I was not at work. Missed you all though. Didn't get my usual blog fix. Did you know that this thing can be addictive? Went to have my shower and turned on the pipe...ICE WATER!!!!! AARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! Wifey thought somebody was murdering me in the bathroom. Yow people dat water can drink straight out of the tap. Is only because mi decent why mi nuh resort to Irish showers yuh nuh. Heard the news that Prince Charles will be tying the knot on April 8. He has reportedly had this ongoing relationship with some woman or the other for the past 30 years. His former wife had mentioned in an interview that her marriage had included three people. Now I know reporting tactics so I can't say whether she was talking about the other woman, the queen, her boyfriend or some other insignificant third party who fass inna di people dem business. Valentine's Day is fast approaching. Although I firmly believe that one should not wait until a particular day to show your significant other that you care about them. This should be an ongoing affair, nuh true? Anyway gentlemen, it nuh matter what she says, get a little something something to put a smile on her face. Ladies do likewise for your men. A word to the wise is sufficient, money or lack of it thereof is no excuse. If is even a chocolate bar from the supermarket shelf. (Oh I forgot about the diets and healthy living so scrap the chocolate idea, make that a Granola Bar instead or Nature Valley or...whatever. I was looking at the history of Valentine's Day to "educate" you all but too many contraversial versions are out there in cyberspace so mi not going there. Go hunt it down yourself and you choose from the romantic to the ordinary to the downright queer. Which version do you believe. What are your views on Valentine's Day. Is it a ploy to make money? Is it for lovers? Is it for...... Do we need it? Have a great day all.

Charles really going marry Camilla? Ugh. I guess dem married long time, jus nuh 'church'. Boy, him is a man who mussi love get him Vit S inna de dark still. I can't for the life of me think he looks her in the face when he's getting down to business. She really ent cute, not even plain. Maybe she 'delivers' well. Fret not folks, somehow I doh see Charles ever becoming King. Elizabeth naw move 'till God call her home and she got longevity in her genes. Dr. D.

I think women are into V Day far more than men. Plenty men I know just do suppem in order to not piss off wifey or girlfriend by 'forgetting'.

Indeed, its whole heap o commercialism. If I was trying to make a relationship with a new femme, I'd probably take her to dinner, or send flowers. But I'm one of these people who believe in a certain amount of sponatneous activity. I think on V Day...women 'expect' something to be done....like on a birthday. I think it is far nicer to send a bouquet of flowers on any ordinary day of the week when she least expects it...with a note like..."Thinking of you. Can't wait for tonight!" ;-) Man might jus get lucky eeh? Dr. D.

Popsy and I decided very early in our marriage that we were not going to celebrate Vday. I think it is a monumental waste of money! As for Charles and his woman fancy. I think they deserve each other...the good thing about it that they are probably too old to reproduce now because is one horsey looking baby dat would be!!!!!Dem nuh royally cute at all!!

Hmmm... Valentine's Day... I usually forget it exists until I get to work and see all the other ladies in red and white. One year, I actually remembered and just fer kicks, I wore black. *evil chuckle*

Seriously tho - I've never been one for 'special days'. Not even birthdays. So Valentine's Day usually passes me by just the same as any other day. One year, someone (don't remember who now) sent me a cut orchid - it was a nice gesture I think, but it didn't really mean much. I dunno, think mebbe my femmé genes are slightly deadened.

As for Charles and Camilla... poppy show! Cho. My personal (and very controversial) opinion is that him ruin one woman life before him realize seh is time to live true to himself and de worl' - mad man! *hmph*
